The missing piece here is that you walked into a bar and found a woman that was looking for a hook-up, or at least open to the possibility of going home with a guy. She liked your look, she liked your attitude, she was interested in you, so when you made a bid, she went with it. Because she was at that bar to hook up with someone, and you ended up being that someone.

If you just walked up to every single woman you saw and tried the same approach, it might work sometimes. A lot of the time it won't. You threw a dart blind and happened to hit an interested girl without having to gauge her interest first.

1- Because a lot of women who are out aren't looking to hook up tonight, no matter who you are or what you do or how you interact with them.

2- Some women are looking to hook up, or are at least entertaining the possibility, but they won't be into you. Whatever it is they like in guys, it's not your look or how you're acting.

3- Some women weren't looking to hook up tonight, but if you turn out to be really interesting, fun, hot, and persuasive, she'll go home with you anyway.

4- Some women are out to meet a guy tonight, and if you're the best one she's met by the end of the night, she's yours for the night.

5- And some women are out to meet a guy and don't even care that much, so if you're the first really decent or interesting guy, she'll go home with you.

You walked up to a girl and she turned out to be either #3, 4, or 5. She was talking to some other dude and hadn't seen you, so you didn't have a chance to catch her eye or gauge her interest before walking over. If she'd been #1 or 2, it wouldn't matter how you stood or breathed or how masculine or mature you acted.

I think a good lesson to take away is that if circumstances are such that you don't know or can't tell, take the shot anyway and you might get lucky.

Had you met 1000 women and made out with 80% of them within 45 seconds, then you are in a position to extract knowledge. If you are trying to learn something from single event, there is a very high possibility that you are extracting the wrong conclusions. For example, maybe the chic was drugged, or drunk. Some time ago I made out with a chick within 10 seconds. She was blasted and also in full-party mode. It means nothing, just luck (for the girl).
