I wouldn't go anywhere near where alcohol is served with any of my staff. Alcohol and staff does not mix. They want to drink, they can do it at not-company-party.

The explicit reasons for Pence’s restriction are religion and family, but the implicit reason is that he must avoid alone-time with women lest his stringent religious moral code fall apart in the presence of a little lipstick and décolletage. That is rape culture.

She has it backwards. It's not the failure of his moral code that he's worried about. She acknowledges that herself:

This is from 2016 and the Pence Rule is well known.

What's had more effect is #metoo, not only are more men following the Pence Rule, men are also now afraid to mentor women in the workplace, to be alone with a woman in the workplace, to work with a woman in the workplace, to eat lunch with a female co-worker, and many are now hesitant to even hire women.

JP asked the question of whether men and women can work together in the workplace, saying that this experiment has only been 40 years running. I think there's evidence that the answer might 'no'.
