Shoot, that was a typo. I meant to type "rigid" in my hopelessness, although I guess the meaning doesn't change that much. Basically, it was hard for me to accept that it was possible for things to get better. My depression became a defense mechanism for me. As I perceived my obstacles to be growing larger and larger, I withdrew to keep myself "safe" - which, of course, made me more miserable.

It's still something I struggle with, but fortunately therapy had a positive impact on me. I held onto that rigidity through my entire first year of therapy, but eventually I cracked, and my therapist was able to squeeze in there and give me a bit of hope.

I'm sure your story isn't exactly the same as mine, but I truly hope you find some relief soon! I had some of the same issues as you, and I remember so vividly what it's like to feel like you're beyond hope. It's the worst.

Is Mexico that bad too, men's rights-wise?

Actually no, things are relatively good here.... you appear to be interested, so I will explain at length;

....

Example 1:

Since the government and the people at large lean a lot more towards the right (heavy emphasis on liberty and low regulation of human interaction) , things are a lot better here than in the U.S.... for example, in divorce proceedings, women do indeed get favored by the judges, but men are not enslaved, made to pay absurd amounts for no justifiable reason.

The equivalent here of alimony and child support is , even proportionally, like 1/10th of what it is in the U.S., on average. The reason for this is that while the government does use force to funnel money towards women after a divorce **it is never at the expense of the quality of life of the man in an unreasonable way**. For ex: You might be made to give up to 40% (!) of your disposable income..... of your **disposable income**. This means after you paid your rent, your food, your gasoline, your... all of that, your remaining sum would be garnished by government to give to the woman.

So you will never become homeless, or enter an unsustainable state because of child support and alimony..... this is how I 'feel' it should be.

Example 2:

False rape accusations would fall within the purview of **Calumny** , a crime in which someone maliciously levies a false charge against someone else for the purposes of causing harm to that person. The greater the harm, the greater the severity of the calumny charge. So false rape accusations aren't really a big deal here, oh they still happen, absolutely, but men don't get utterly destroyed. The justice system is very good about protecting men from this type of thing.

Example 3:

There is no welfare system for women to leech off of. The government of Mexico doesn't do that..... this is very good for men because it means government doesn't have to jack up the taxes across the board to funnel money into entitlement programs which invariably help women at the expense of men.

Probably the "biggest" issue that I see in Mexico is that men are forced to sign up for something similar to the draft and are forced to get training every 2 weeks for a year when they turn 18. Failure to comply means loss of certain key rights..... women get these rights by default, that's bullshit.... but that's minor in the grand-scheme of things. The real problems of Mexico are more along the lines of, the corrupt government paying themselves a ton of money and doing practically nothing.

OKAY, so why did I go full MGTOW? because women are hyper entitled and unpleasant to be around. I'm just not interested in them..... I get told "YOU NEED TO GET A WOMAN, YOU NEED TO HAVE A CHILD." nearly every day but eh, fuck it, not interested.

No one has the right to someone else's money.

How did you find this sub then?

I'm an anti-feminist and have been so for over 20 years. While opposing feminism and supporting the rights of men are not the same thing, I find that there is a lot of overlap.

I'm on the verge of going MGTOW myself, for the same reason. Not sure if it's worth it though, just trying to find the "right one" at the moment.

I've heard that my whole life and let me tell you, there is no "right one". There is no unicorn.
I resisted going MGTOW because I wanted to raise a son, I had an intense urge to ensure biological continuity with this world.... but the behavior of women at large is so terrible that I just couldn't ever see myself investing in one long term.

Don't get me wrong, if someone wants to take woman and child on board, that's great. I hope it works out for them.... but it's not for me. I hope you are able to find what you're looking for.

How about they get a job and pay for their own expenses? poor people are not poor by accident, they are poor because they are lazy and irresponsible. Rewarding such behavior and punishing the hard worker by taking his money just doesn't make sense.

I'm aware there is no perfect match

I think I didn't express myself properly, I went too far in one direction.

What I mean is, all women are 'like that'. When I came to realize that it was not about finding one that was different, but rather what level of unpleasant behavior I was willing to accept, was when I walked away.

As a teen, I had this very childish, romantic notion that I would meet a wonderful girl, and we would get along nicely.... that she would support me through my hardest time in life (university) and then after, she would have my unconditional support. I.e. we'd build a life together.

It turns out that's not how it works, women don't really care much for broke young men that are still university students. It was a real eye-opener when I finished my studies and became a medical professional, a lot of women that previously wouldn't give me the time of day, are suddenly being friendly and flirty. I am still the same guy..... it is very repulsive to see how differently I am treated now, simply because of prestige and money. "Who I am" never mattered, it was always about "what" I am and of course, money. I choose not to play.

Anyway, you seem like a nice enough young man, I hope it goes well for you.

Sometimes people's circumstances are out of their control, i.e shitty education, not being able to find a job with acceptable wages, etc.

It turns out that's not how it works, women don't really care much for broke young men that are still university students.

If that was the case, few young men would be in a relationship. Attractiveness and personality are far bigger factors than just money. It does help though, and a lot of women sure are gold-diggers.

Anyway, I'm still trying to remain a bit optimistic but it's getting hard. Hopefully things will get better soon.

You are.... poor people are responsible for their own behavior, trying to subjugate/arbitrate the citizenry to get a more equal outcome is equality of outcome.

Equality of opportunity is about eliminating governmental barriers against the citizenry at large. For example; I think we can both agree that removing the barriers against blacks in 1963 after the march on washington was a good thing. That's equality of opportunity.

I disagree. The difference is the scale of the behavior.... it is not incorrect or unreasonable to say that women have common traits and behavioral tendencies.

Again, I am not saying you are wrong for seeking out a 'good woman' , but that kind of thing is not for me....

The women will go for money far more often than attractiveness and personality. I have no problem with that, women have the right to choose what they want, but again, this is something that I find unpleasant and off-putting.

Sometimes people just can't find livable wages. There's a reason poverty exists, sometimes people just don't have a choice.

I'm wondering if this is just your experience because you live in a relatively poor country? I haven't noticed women going for money only any more often than other attractive traits. Like I said, there are a lot of gold-diggers but I'm sure this doesn't represent the majority of women. I'll be careful though.

The gold-digging part wasn't even the part that bothered me, what bothered me was how dishonest they were. I'd be fine with them being money-centric, after all more money means higher quality of life.... no, what mattered to me was how they pretended like this didn't make a difference when I was observing that my prestige status and increased income changed everything about how women treated me.

I urge you to be careful, you strike me as having a couple of very dangerous blind spots....
