I am willing to bet that if a man had said "we should stamp out mediocre women at work" then there would be outrage. Both men and women need to be held to the same standard. Eileen Burbidge is a man-hating dyke.

If that happened, they'd be fired within an hour and the company in question would communicate that fact - - x has been fired for breaking company policy by stating y.

She's more of a Carol Miller type character (from Futurama) with none of the charm.

It's behind paywall, so I don't know the full context. But I suppose this confirms once again that feminists hate WEAK men, not strong and powerful men. Feminism was a rebellion against weak men who were supposedly marrying and therefore dominating the good women who deserved better.

So, feminism is just the good old "husband hunt".

Except they don't want to actually do anything that the powerful man would demand of them as a wife, so "(powerful) men need to change".

I live with this everyday. Wife is the daughter of a rich powerful man. She doesn't want to be a housewife by any measure of the word. So extreme is her belief in this that she doesn't even help clean up dishes or laundry and demands either I do it or makes her mom do it for her. Then if I volunteer to stay home and be the stay at home dad i'm weak and our son will be a loser if he see dad not working. So she wants me to be both the worker and the housemaid. "Strong women" are often just over demanding and irrational. She has a bunch of money cause her parents do and she doesn't see the world like a normal person. She owned a house when she was a teenager and has rented it out for a decade while living with her parents rent free.

Is that behavior worth staying around for? She sounds like a tropical flower who would wilt and shrivel if removed from the heated greenhouse for a few hours.

What the fuck does she do? Does she, like, do anything productive? Does she have a job or a business or does she just sit around counting checks?

1 year old son. She is from china and will likely get custody if I divorce and its hard to get residency and live here. No retirement or anything like that for me here. They live in a baller apartment id live in a ghetto and my son will be trained to hate me I am sure.

She used to work for a bank and was a big shot. But I have no doubt her dad hooked that up. Now she just sits around and is grumpy. When we lived in America she went to school and made our baby. Then she demanded we move across the country and I quit my job. I tried to teach English in china but the school hated me and made it impossible to do a good job. So we spent the past four months traveling and shopping (thats what she likes to do). Most of the time she is grumpy and upset I don't follow orders she barks out. She spends a lot of time dreaming up business ideas and then asks me to do all the leg work while sharing little to not insight into the business. She wants to be the boss and just thinks she can give orders with no direction or assistance.

IF it wasn't for our son I would be long gone. I liked my old life. She was great at the beginning and now is a difficult person. All her friends and their kids love me same with her dad and her aunts and uncles. She just is impossible to please.

I really do sympathize with the situation but I can't help asking: did this person give any inkling of this behavior before having a kid? When you were dating her, did she demonstrate any abilities to do things and take initiative or was she just a "take me here, take mere there" kid of girl? Because that's a warning sign.

I've dated Chinese women myself a few times and in my experience, if they like you, they'll do things like cook for you or show you around. I know that some women stop running after they've managed to hop on the bus, but did she completely manage to pull the wool over your eyes? She didn't suddenly become princessy overnight, surely?

Anyway, you don't have to answer me. It's a tough situation and I don't envy you. If you want to get out, it really requires a plan and a network of trusty people who can support you.

Only a little bit. But it was standard girl behavior. She went off the deep end when she got pregnant.

She used to be helpful and sweet and nice. When we first started dating she was great. She got pregnant and like flipped the script. Super demanding and nothing was enough. Told me to not cook food if she’s in the house. Which she never left. Because it smelled. Like I’m supposed to starve. Then she suddenly decided she’s gonna go to china for the pregnancy cause no one was cooking for her and that was too much work. When she came back it was like a different person. Totally out of control. Now she just gets super pissed about everything. And acts like I’m fucking other women in front of her. Says she doesn’t need me and all kinds of stuff. Meanwhile her mom does like everything for her. Just making it worse.

That sounds pretty rough, you have my sympathy. What you describe is actually very common, although your experience is at the extreme end.

In my relationships, my girlfriends insisted that household chores be split 50/50, because "we both work". That seems fair on the surface, but this chore-sharing only ever applied to traditional female chores (washing, cooking, cleaning, ironing). But it never occurred to them that they should also share the masculine chores like home repairs and vehicle maintenance.

They get to have their cake and eat it. 'Equality', but on their terms and by their definition.

[–]fengpi 0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's what I feared.

I don't know. You might very well need a network of trusty people to support you in the future.

Paywall.

[–]Clemicus -1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's just an opinion piece. So you're not really missing anything.

[–]perplexedm 7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If mediocre women are stamped out of work, a good many of women will be jobless.

[–]want-to-say-this 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I tend to notice more women just coasting at work then I see men doing this. Men more often then not want a promotion or to gain skills. Many men are lazy and there just for the paycheck but I see it more often in women where they have no interest in learning new skills and just want to show up and gossip or be man haters all day. I can't tell you how many times I get told to stop mansplaining or dominating the conversation and to let 'generic female" give her opinion which ends up just being about her feeling like she is super busy and wondering if anyone can take some of her work.

good luck with that! less than 4% of all workers are motivated enough to care... and the west has a huge incompetence problem due to the complete failure of the progressive education system...

not to mention that the west has to import massive numbers of skilled workers from abroad...

be picky... see what happens :D oh wait... she already suffers because her own choices, the sad irony!
