Military screening is not testing you to be part of seal team 6, it's designed to test basic predominantly male fitness. Up until the 80s just being a boy and having a relatively active childhood equipped you to pass basic Military screening so men could go to boot camp and be ready incase of a draft or mass mobilization.

So that means that 77% of young men can't meet the bare minimum of the Protection part of the male & female social dynamic. And it's not a 50/50 split (Protection has always trumped provisioning but especially in 2023 because most women can provide for themselves)

So we can assume being fit (not skinny but fit) has always been the bare minimum for the average man regardless of how the women are.. So being fits doesn't give you access to Instagram baddies and rotations of women it's just allows you into the dating pool.

I am led to believe that it makes perfect sense the top 23% (the percentage that can pass a fitness test) men get access to the dating market because they are meeting the minimum biological standard for relationship. A standard that appears to be set by biology since the basic military fitness test was implemented during the 50s when the biology behind fitness was not well understood.

So before we can even address what women are not doing compared to our grandmothers. Maybe, Men have to address what are we not doing compared to our grandfather's.

If we are sick of being viewed as burdens and ATMs (providers), and we want to be seen as leaders and warriors (protector/providers). We might need to start finding ways to get back to a baseline that allows us to act like it.

I know someone is gonna say "We know, stop trashing men" I will say knowing is 1% doing is the other 99%. So until we are back to 80s or 70s level of average male fitness, I think men need to focus on what they are doing instead of what women are up to.

How do we fix this Male Fitness Issue? How do we right this ship? Especially in a society with so few fathers and education systems that don't value PE?
