There is a new narrative (Look up Ebony K Williams, dont worry this is coming to all communities, not just the Black community) pushing women to seek out sperm donors instead of fathers . Understand if you are a man participating in these sperm banks. No contract or "legal protections" overwrites law and family law is widely open to interpretation. Many states see no difference between sperm donors and fathers, so technically, if a woman moves to a new state, there might be nothing protecting you from a request for child support.

While 20 years ago, these things were anonymous. With services like Ancestry and 23&ME that anonymity is now gone because people can be tracked through their family trees for under a 100$. . Also, these women are routinely given detailed profiles on the sperm donors, so given that information , women might be able to determine their income potential.

Furthermore, many jobs are offering fertility assistance to employees under their insurance plans. So a woman nearing the end of her fertility window might decide to not only be a single mother, but if it gets too difficult, she can find the biological father and get him for child support.

So have the conversation if it comes up and warn any man that thinks the few hundred bucks is worth it...(Looking at you, college guys, because I assume you guys are key targets for this grift)

Edit: for Grammer.
