Basically she cheated on me and there were consequences that I have chosen to live with but not suffer, and I won.

So I got the house. And we thought a quit claim deed got her off the house. It doesn’t completely. She is still on the mortgage which means she remains responsible per the bank. The decree gives me all rights and legal responsibility of the property. If I refinance right now my payments will increase over 400$ a month because interest rates are so much worse than when we got the loan.

Is there any other way to get her off without screwing myself with the interest rate?

If I can’t think of another way then, I don’t want to, but I won’t let her benefit from me or hurt me in any way ever again so I think I just won’t do anything and wait for her to sue or whatever. Plus her credit will just benefit from me making payment, right?
