She's claiming she was under the influence of heavy sleep medication, her lawyer said he would vigorously cross-examine the boy.

Is it fair, probably not. But she was convicted, she will be on the sex offenders list and most importantly for the victim he was believed and he won't have to go through being 'vigorously cross-examined'.
