I get regular compliments, but I stand out. People that like that usually compliment me. It's nice, I can get 7 to 12 a week sometimes.

Mixing things up can help. Men usually wear the same thing. It doesn't register. Same with actions, if it doesn't stand out. It doesn't get noticed

Make sure to also compliment our actions, not just our looks or even our traits. If you complement my looks, I'll think you're just flirting or making fun of me. If you complement my intelligence, I'll think you're just trying to butter me up for a favor. If you complement my actions or successes, that actually gets through to me. It shows that you actually care.

Whenever I find something about a guy I appreciate in the type of man he is, I go out of my way to let them know. I’ve had friends I’m hanging out with genuinely think that it’s a subtle insult and ask me about it later. I then have to explain I genuinely like that part of them, and this exact thing. Guys almost never get real, genuine compliments.

Edit: To be clear, I’m not talking about looks compliments. I’m referring to aspects of personality that make them unique. Eg: “Hey, man, I really like how hard you work, I think you’re going to end up doing great things if you keep it up. Remember to be proud of yourself.”

I love this. Best intentions. Not being pessimistic but what you are suggesting, it might be easier to make the world turn the other way because that's how big of a movement you are thinking about. I still love it though and hope it happens.
