This one in my opinion is because it's one of the holy grails of female victimhood. Its perceived as something women by and large are the victims of, and because of our cultures climate and the fact that its sex related, it is deemed an untouchable female issue. To say that a man, who is expected to be the given villain of sexual situations, is also a victim, is seen as hersey.

mental health

Because men aren't supposed to have emotions that hinder their ability to function. Men are tools, not people. If a tool stops working correctly, then whatever happens to it isnt important. Men have been, and still are disposable by societal standards. So what if a man is hurting, that's a tool that's not functioning, and thus, unimportant

But still the reaction to this thing overall was pretty gross. A lot of people pushing the idea that men can't be victims of sexual assault.

But I am glad some media outlets do attempt to call out this sort of behaviour for what it is, even if they are in the minority.

I'm a male rape victim who was informed by the police (when dropping their 'investigation') that my ex-boyfriend (who had been harassing me for several months and who I'd had to call the police about on numerous occasions) 'probably thought I would enjoy it.' We know why male rape by women is not taken seriously, because feminists have spent decades gaslighting those in power to think that women are sweet innocent perpetual victims. Man-on-man rape is not taken seriously because the police seem to think that all a gay guy wants is dick.

Warren Farrell wrote a book about The Boy Crisis but that doesn't get very far outside if the manosohere.

Look at the outpouring of shock from Robin Williams suicide.... It was a shock, yes, but nothing has changed because of it. Everyone is sad that he's gone, but don't want to talk about the shear number of men and boys that commit suicide or how we should address this as a culture.

We have a society that assumes that if you are talking about men's issues than you are against/downgrading women's/trans/etc issues. They don't want to consider that you can have inequality against men as a separate issue.

Because that would be admitting that men have legitimate issues.

And since that violates Feminism Rule #0: "Blame men, be the victim" it cannot be allowed.

All of Feminism predicates on that rule, and it's literally killing men.

Just keep your wits about you, don't get drunk at a bar alone. I am a survivor myself, an ex-boyfriend who was part of the Hell's Angels beat me in a dumpster parking lot before he put himself on top of me. After that happened he forced me to a motel in which he got so drunk I took advantage of the opportunity and hit him with a lamp and ran, he got right back up chasing me down Hollywood Blvd and Vine until I got to the train station, not paying fare with a busted bruised face, the police did nothing on both accounts for the fare or ask about my bruises. It took 6 months but he ended up getting 10 years out in San Bernardino. It gave me PTSD and my trust for men is cautious, but I can say I am tough now and know what not to allow in my life, and I am a survivor for a reason, and I want to help others. You CAN make it through it, and karma does exist.

Because nothing is taken seriously when it comes to men. Even governments and large worldwide philanthropist orgs go out of their way to ensure boys/men aren’t counted

Step one: get criminal statutes to define sexual assault in a gender neutral way.

Gender neutral means truly gender neutral and genital neutral. The definition of the crime should assume half of all victims are male and half of all victims have male genitals.

If there are examples of what counts when the victim is female there should be examples of what counts when the victim is male.

A male victim should become a victim the moment his/her rapist touches his penis or testicles. He does not need to wait until she gets it in her vagina. Because the purpose of the law should be to PROTECT the male victim's genitals, not to protect the rapists' genitals.
