We’re the ones for whom the first black president created an entire initiative to assist and uplift. We’re the ones whose beatings and deaths at the hands of the police galvanize the community in a way that the beatings and sexual assaults and deaths that those same police inflict upon black women do not. We’re the ones whose mistreatment inspired a boycott of the NFL despite the NFL’s long history of mishandling and outright ignoring far worse crimes against black women. We are the ones who get the biggest seat at the table and the biggest piece of chicken at the table despite making the smallest contribution to the meal.

Mofo, that's because black men are the most targetted demographic of police violence. The stats do not lie. BW do not fit the stereotype of "violent criminal" that has caused the deaths of many black men and boys. Like have you ever wondered they couldn't bring the most of the contribution because of the violence they face?

Yes, BW do face unique issues, but I don't fucking assert that because they don't face the severe brunt of violence, they are privileged over BM.

Just about all the black women I've dated were just as privileged as their white counterparts. In one instance, I got pulled over and the cop took one look at me and said "step out of the vehicle". Having been there before, I immediately and without question step out so he could search me and the vehicle. But my GF was having none of it. Because of her privilege she had never dealt with this type of treatment and started arguing with officer. I pleaded with her because all I could think about was the officer killing her. She eventually got out, the officer found nothing, and let us on our way.

Except this turned into a huge argument because she was incredulous to the fact that I just got out and let the cop search us. She couldn't understand why I immediately folded like I did. Even as a 30 year old black women, she had so little experience dealing with authority that she couldn't understand why a black man would would act like that. It makes sense when I read articles like this proclaiming "bLaCk mEn aRe tHE pAtRiAcHY!!!!"
