I thought two stripes was some sort of corporal, and I was wondering if it was a joke about what's the lowest amount of power that can go to somebody's head. But if I've got this right, it's a Petty Officer Second Class in the US Navy. E-5 pay grade the same as an army sergeant. Does the naval rank carry the same respect as the army one?
