Generally you're right but holy shit it's funny driving them away from posting responses because a lot of them are full of shit and are not used to dealing with somebody who can actually fight back or doesn't just block them immediately.

One thing which I can't stand is that when you make an argument which is good and to which they can find no counter argument they downvote you into oblivion so your post disappears. You know: freedom of speech and all that. But actually not even freedom of thought is allowed. Anything that does not fit the narrative accepted by the majority is considered evil.
What I am afraid of is the fact that many people, both men and women see what is going on but are too afraid of speaking out. In one of my first posts in this sub I wrote how I was failed in a University credit by a feminist because I carried out research and the data did not fit in with her radical feminist views. I was one of two young men in a group of some 50 women who took the credit.

People just need to stop being afraid and stand up to them, we do outnumber them which is why the number of subscribers is growing so rapidly. With regards to downvoting, I get downvoted all the time and you're right, it's pretty funny though, because what happens is the feminists get butthurt and try downvote me. Then a couple of hours later other people are coming along and upvote everything until it's either back to neutral or positive and I'm the same.
I do this with posts by the way I don't always necessarily agree with, if the person is being reasonable and just having a chat I upvote them to prevent people from trying to censor. This is something I've always hated about reddit, if you get mass downvoted it shouldn't hide your post.

I can't imagine why they got irritated. I don't think I ever got angry or even very annoyed because of some post. I often defuse an argument that is turning stupid by joking. And it is not like I lost any sleep over this but I was kind of surprised.

If you saw the exchange I doubt that they know what a mysoginist is. The person in question, to be honest, just comes across as someone very immature. The kind who will tell you that he slept with your mother. He then went on to tell me that my wife is sleeping with another man, thus being sexist, because they consider that women who have unfaithful sex are somehow worse than men who do the same thing. I stopped wasting my time. BTW thank you to the members of this sub. I saw what you are doing :-) I didn't ask for it but it is funny :-)

I got banned from communism101 for being a "misogynist". I can only presume they looked at my subs and put me in a box. Unthinkng people naturally stereotype but unfortunately some mods aren't above such immaturities.

Stereotyping is a big problem. I assume many people here are from the USA. I'm from Europe and the biggest political parties in the EU are centre left (The Christian Democrats and the Socialists). I consider myself to be centre left too, which may not mean the same thing it does here that it means in the USA. It is a pity that advocating for REAL gender equality is considered by some people as a far right ideology.
