I was really devastated when I figured out that dating apps were basically for male predators. I'm still on them, but I have no faith in them at all. Actually, I've pretty much lost any and all interested in dating. No desire to be used or abused again.

4.5 Feeling validated from thirsty matches and super-likes lasts about 10 minutes and then you feel a bit like a piece of meat

5.5 Meat feeling intensifies when dudes hit you up to come over immediately with significantly less charisma and incentive than they probably spend convincing a woman on Craigslist who requires 300 roses for her visit

6.25 unicorn hot dude turns out to be catfishing incel who berates you for proving his radical hypothesis that women like cute guys

What I personally realized is that besides the obvious fact that it’s usually a bunch of LVMs on OLD, the chemistry level doesn’t seem to ever be the same as IRL. Like the last site I used was Match. Men honestly were respectful (I’m also 32 and like men a bit older so that factors in). I went on 5 dates from there and before then I went on dozens and dozens of dates with men from OLD. Being on OLD is like doing half of the work for them. They just don’t value you as much as if they had to build themselves to approach, talk and actually work on even getting your number. So they are often less excited about you (and same for me), hence the attraction level is never the same as if you just met IRL. OLD just sucks all around. I gave up on it and have 0 desire to get back. I recently started a new job and a guy at work who is 6 years younger (🤦‍♀️) clearly is into me. He is a very good looking dude so sparks are just flying. Feels sooooo much different from any OLD experience I had, it’s crazy. I’m trying to keep it professional though. OLD is a no go 🙅

Also on stage 9 here! Was tempted today just to see if someone good might be on there, but held strong and left it inactive!!! I signed up for lessons of a hobby of mine right after instead.... realistically more likely to find my special someone there! There are just too many lvm on OLD, it never ceases to disappoint.
