I don't think what's being said here detracts from her status as an abuser. The punishment for being accused of abuse or sexual misconduct should not be trial by media, public shaming/abuse/death threats and being hounded to kill yourself.

Not for women. Not for men. We need an end to cancel culture. We need an end to threats of violence and personal attacks on social media when someone in the public idea says or does something we disagree with.

We also need to prosecute domestic abusers, but also have some compassion for their humanity. I agree it's disgusting that so many male defendants have been through the same without and hint of public sympathy and even public scorn, but at least this case has people talking about the issue.
