I post this again and again. But I’ll go into more detail.

I go to the gym. I have a Pinterest image of “fast track to big chest and arms” it’s just typical stuff, dips, diamond push ups, incline bench, dumbbell and barbell curls, etc. I’ll do these with as heavy a weight as it takes to get failure in 8 reps. Ideally, I’d crank out reps, hop right into working a different muscle and go to failure like AthleanX advises. But I get exhausted almost immediately.

The most disheartening thing is my bench doesn’t increase and neither do the number of pull-ups.

But first, some self criticism. I lack a gym drive. I don’t dislike lifting, but I have a fatigue that prevents me from mentally pushing through. Concussion symptoms perhaps (cause I’ve had two) but it’s weird. I’m wondering if I should take some of that super male vitality. Just for a kick. Anything. Because of this mental indolence I’m not addicted to gym. If there is one thing I can say about a good fitness app, AthleanX’s 6pack promise is the closest thing to something that makes (in this case Pilates) addictive and routine. Strong lifts was always a challenge because I’d plateau. And I never could realize why. I’m thinking I’ll retry SL5x5 with increased consumption of protein powder. But I hate having a fat lower body. Squatting is something I do with one leg but I haven’t succeeded in toning my gluteus or thighs.

My arms are toned but they’re so fucking skinny otherwise. My chest is flat. I’ve gained weight but it’s only in my lower body and thus I still can’t lift my body weight.

I’m 6’2”. Skinny fat. Always fought with low stamina. Especially during sex. But i think it comes from a lack of mental fortitude. Hence I’ll take up boxing. But is there anything else I can do?
