A friend of mine told me that his son was diagnosed with some 'disorder' and he has to take medicines for it. Obviously the diagnosis was made after his female teacher reported the boy for not behaving the way she wants him to.

My friend invited me to have lunch with his family and I met the boy. He seemed perfectly normal to me - but he behaves like a boy. Later we went out as my friend is a football coach and his son plays. He is very good at football.

I get the feeling that boys are being labeled as having 'disorders' because they do not fit in with the expectations of middle aged female teachers.

Men over 18 only compose 5%. The majority of meds are given to tween and teen boys to regulate their behavior for female teachers who account for 90% of teachers.
