Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

It happens a lot to men but they rarely go to the police. Just put up with it.

I suspect more men will report it in the future.

[–]sgt_oddball_17 85 points86 points87 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

If men started reporting all unwanted touching from women . . .

[–]dw87190 53 points54 points55 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

95% of the female Australian demographic would be facing charges

[–]TommyW-Unofficial 21 points22 points23 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

An old teacher of mine just got convicted. She had straight up sex with a student, multiple times. Judge doesn't expect her to see any jail time.

[–]dw87190 23 points24 points25 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Straight up /raped/ a student, multiple times

[–]UnconventionalXY 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There wouldn't be many reports because men are largely starved of enough sex, since its all about her needs, not his.

[–]Alarming_Draw 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Notice how stories about women abusers NEVER appear in other places-only the Mail reports them...

...then when you try to point out the stories that were ignored by other places, and prove men are also victims, douche bags just say "its the Daily Mail so its probably a lie".

Its an impossible situation because news outlets are literally deliberately refusing to publish news about male victims!!!!

[–]ThirdTurnip 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes.

Here's what you do. The opposite of what they want.

Keep posting Daily Mail articles.

[–]Angryasfk 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m sure if The Guardian published them (and didn’t try to spin this into attacks against gays, BAME, “non-binaries”) they’d start calling it a “reactionary rag” that no longer has “relevance” or “credibility”.

[–]FourthHarbinger 91 points92 points93 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The UK? The place where rape by the legal definition can't happen to a man?

Yeah, I'm sure the cops are looking real hard for that woman...

[–]Wasteofoxyg3n 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They're far too busy arresting people posting memes on Twitter to look for her.

[–]Angryasfk -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It can happen to a man, but it’s virtually impossible for a woman to do it to a man. Let’s be clear about it. The problem with the law isn’t that men can’t be victims, but that only men can be perpetrators!

[permanently deleted]

[–]Aedrian87 50 points51 points52 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They rarely jail women for it, it has a far lower lower sentence, and it is often met with no time served when the perpetrator is a woman.

My bad, that is a brand new account, guess it will be banned soon.

[–]EvidencePlz 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's most probably one of those trolls from that fascist feminist Twox shithole of a sub.

[–]ScotsRepublic 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is either naive or conscious deflecting. Prison sentences can be of a similar length, but it is simple fact that 'rape' carries a far greater social stigma than 'sexual assault'. If a woman rapes a man, why on earth should she not be able to be convicted of rape? It is preposterous. Many developed countries have fair, non-gendered definitions for rape, it government in the UK refused to take crimes against men as seriously, and always has done. Remember, gay men were chemically castrated fir being gay, whereas being a lesbian was never even illegal in the UK.

[–]Angryasfk 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Very true. Lesbian acts were never illegal - I’ve had so much trouble trying to explain that to people.

Just be aware that we need to be on guard if the definition is “made equal”. We had a clown on here a few days back raving on about how the ACT had equalised rape and what a wonderful step forward in mens rights it was. And then we find out that it’s actually legislating “continuing and enthusiastic consent” - so if you do not ask her every single step of the way and get an enthusiastic enough response you’re a rapist! And no way would this be equally applied! His defence was that when he was called up for jury duty there was a case of a woman being charged for blackmailing a guy into sex: but it wasn’t clear she was charged with rape rather than “sexual assault”, or that the punishment is the same - which is the whole point really.

The law must be the same, and it must be equally applied.

[–]Nerfixion 20 points21 points22 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's the UK. So they're gonna hunt her down to get a statement on how the man was in the wrong and arrest hin

[–]Acrobatic_Sport_7664 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]iovercomesadness 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If British women are anything like Australian women, I doubt it'll be other women giving her up. Can only hope a bloke who's awake will do the right thing

When people make jokes about men getting graped in prison they laugh (even women). If someone when implies it might happen to a woman everyone loses their minds (said with a joker voice in my head).

It took me awhile but they definitely consider themselves almost a different species to us. I'm not even sure if they are cognizant of how much they prioritize themselves....

I think I remember hearing about her. she makes me sick just like that other publication "how to ruin a man" or whatever it's called.

Here's a good contrast: a woman in the UK did some research on the violent tendencies of women in domestic situations (in the UK). She was chased out of her own country after that.

[–]dw87190 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

Sounds like feminists were out to silence her like they did with the one who proved the Duluth Model to be a lie. Can't remember her name, but they used to constantly send her murder threats in the mail

[–]Ok-Crab-4063 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I used to get mad at older folks not speaking up when these things got talked about in groups of people. Now that I'm one of them I completely understand why they were silent. It's not worth it and it's a really bad idea.

The so called misogyny we're expected to see in boomer men is for the most part internalised misandry and later in life resenting the women they were raised to be "gentlemen" towards, provide for, risk life and limb in war for. Imagine being shipped off to god knows where in the 1940s, fighting Waffen-SS, Afrika Korps, Imperial Japanese Army, or North Vietnamese Army, Viet Cong, Russian Ground Forces in the 1960s, losing brothers in arms, sanity, maybe even body parts and coming home with PTSD to the very women you fought for calling you useless, privileged, lazy, fascist, a rapist, worthless, an oppressor, scum, baby killer and all kinds of vile crap. We're talked down to about we need to be punishing those generations and told they hate women, abused women, oppressed women, when the reality is they hate how women treated them and they hate the absolute height of unfairness of that shitty century. Feminists are always arguing that mothers are the most present and influencial parent, so using this logic and the fact that we have more female teachers than male teachers in education system (and a hiring bias towards female applicants), women are most responsible for producing bad men. They try to have it both ways, but we won't let them

[–]Ok-Crab-4063 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They do love to butter both sides of the toast and you will witness true mental gymnastics if you listen to how they rationalize it. This reply reminds me of something I learned recently on r/antifeminists. The white feather movement is exactly as you described calling men cowards for not going to the hellish war (WW2). I brought up the points you just made about our role to a friend and she claims women were still the oppressed as they weren't allowed to vote then. But as in the same post I mentioned, men without wealth weren't allowed to vote either.

[–]TheDwiin 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

(Not so) Fun Fact: inmate on inmate sexual violence per Capita is higher in female prisons than it is in male prisons.

[–]amakusa360 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

I doubt it'll be other women giving her up.

This is a huge issue. Most men rightfully hate other men who are sex offenders (contrary to the lie of "rape culture"), but most women don't care when other women are sex pests.

[–]dw87190 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

We respond to what we learn, that's why "internalised misogyny" is barely existent while "internalised misandry" is real and rampant

Australia is fucking insane. I live here. I know.

But not all women hate / don't care about all men.

It can appear that way if you only see news and social media but the reality is otherwise.

[–]dw87190 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Maybe it's a bigger issue in south east Queensland, but majority of women under 35 around here hate and disrespect men. Dating a nightmare, very few (if any) single egalitarian women my age (nearly 30)

[–]ThirdTurnip 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I was sexually harassed and stalked by a Brisbane woman. Probably be late 30's ish now.

She's ever so keen on men.

Literally will not take no for an answer.

Even from a gay man.

[–]dw87190 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Sexual harassment by women is rampant here. I used to work in a bar in Gold Coast when I lived there, it was fucked. Women carry on about blokes, but the women are worse. And female bar and floor managers are huge enablers too, I got multiple file notes and one written warning for trying to have security eject creepy women. Men had to take it, that's what she used to say. You don't even want to know what she did when she heard other staff mocking me for "going home" with a glassy I was too drunk to consent to

[–]ThirdTurnip 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

This woman threatened my life so I fled interstate and will never return.

She typed a bizarre, narcissistic suicide letter which was mostly "me" droning on about how unbearably attractive she was.

She so wasn't. One of the funniest moments of the ordeal was watching the range of expressions play over my manager's face as she struggled not to comment on her unattractiveness.

Saying that she had originally believed her - despite my having repeatedly complained specifically about this woman (and others) to her. And her explicitly threatening me via email for refusing to date her.

But then she met her and.... a range of uncomfortable faces pulled as she struggled not to call her ugly.

She forged my signature on this "suicide letter" and gave it to my manager.

I later learned that she was on probation at that time for attempting to strangle her ex-boyfriend in a hospital.

So that was undeniably a death threat.

Neither the university nor the police cared in the slightest.

Typical Australia, they should've helped you

[–]ThirdTurnip 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

The federal Human Rights Commission were the only people who helped me.

In fact they slightly bent the law to do it because the state Anti Discrimination had wrongfully rejected my complaint to them.

Under federal law, the Human Rights Commission can't accept a complaint if it's been made to a state commission.

But they accepted mine.

Only 0.5% of the population engages in criminal behaviour, yet its enough to have a whole justice system dedicated to it: it's not about all, most, many, or any other large number when it only takes 0.5% for it to be worth pursuing to reduce it down to zero.

Almost every man I know in Scotland has been seically abused and assaulted by women. It's endemic here. If you wear a kilt, you will be sexually assaulted more often than not. One of the Red Hot Chili Pipers raised it in a news article on International Men's Day a few years ago and what did the government do? Nothing. They didn't even acknowledge it. Fast forward a few months, and international woman's day was wall to wall with government commentary on the issues faced by women.

[–]UnconventionalXY 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wear a female prosthetic under the kilt and see the shocked reactions. They will probably never do it again.

[–]sakura_drop 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

'Kilt-wearing barmen forced to ditch tartan Scottish dress because of '''frisky''' female customers':

Kit Fraser, the owner of Hootananny in Inverness, described it as "pure sexism".

"It may seem funny but it is serious, too," he said. "The women are sticking their hands up their kilts. Can you imagine if I went into a restaurant and stuck my hand up a girl's skirt? I would be taken to the police station and rightly so.

"I look after my customers but equally important are my staff. I am not forcing them to do something they don't want to do. We fellows are very, very aware of sexism. I think the women need to catch up."

And this interview with one of the Red Hot Chilli Pipers (as you mentioned):

One of Scotland's leading pipers says he is groped, humiliated and photographed indecently by women on a regular basis while wearing a kilt.

"It's just been a constant thing even since I was a wee laddie," he said. "Women used to put their hands up your kilt."

"I remember playing at Ayr Town Hall. I came off the stage, the crowd go crazy, and in trying to get back to the stage I don't know how many times there were hands up my kilt. I'm trying to play my pipes but I'm also trying to protect my own dignity."

Pipers frequently experience this kind of behaviour, according to Mr Armstrong, who at one point in his career was experiencing incidents "almost every week".
