Just cuious.. in a 50/50 state.. if you file, but hold on to the document and dont serve her right away, and between the time you file and you finally serve, she has charged up a ton on a CC or what not, are you immune to those charges.. or is it only after you serve her the papers.

I ask because I know I can file and hold on to docs, and serve her myself. If I do that, I don't know how the date I serve her is recorded. Or do you always have to hire someone to serve her to record that date?
