I divorced my BPD ex 5 years ago, one kid in common. Those of you that know BPD probably know that it's hell.

My ex was trying to change the agreement as soon as it was signed and getting really pushy and aggressive. I had to attend court mandated mediation a couple of months ago. She broke down in tears and got nothing because the mediator immediately saw she was just not mentally well.

The mediator also ordered that we use a parenting coordinator going forward.

My ex had a call with her yesterday and I had it today.

The coordinator asked me what issues I saw that needed to be resolved. I said I didn't want have issues with the agreement, I just wanted to stop the conflict.

She was surprised because my ex told her a long list of things she wanted to discuss. I told the coordinator we had already discussed everything a couple of months ago. Apparently my ex didn't tell her anything about it. From the tone of voice that really pissed the coordinator off.

Then I explained about the times she had been violent and I wanted to protect my kid from that. I made sure to sound calm, not call her names so that I would sound as the level headed one.

She said she would look into it and that there is no need to keep discussing the same things over and over. And that she would make sure to stop the conflict by having the power to issue binding orders and assign costs.

There might be light at the end of the tunnel after all...
