In any event, names, ethnic backgrounds, locations, pictures shouldn’t be included in college apps. Just let it be a meritocracy and if there are some sort of interesting circumstances there can be a section for that.

Watching the statistics on the reverse brain drain back to China in the last few years would alarm any policymaker who hasn't stuck his head in the sand along tribalistic grounds. Basically anyone who is not a racist opposes affirmative action.

The reversal is alarming, but if they can't get a fair shake here they should absolutely take their knowledge, IQ, and skills to Asia. Let the drain circling nepo dunces fiddle around incompetently.

Actually this is an interesting phenomenon and yeah, I'll give you guys this one, it is racial.

Once I was sitting down with my three white friends and my Asian friend, and one of my white friend's wife who happened to be obese and very unattractive.

For some reason she starts going "I'd date you, you, you," pointing at the white guys, then said "but not you" to me and my Asian friend (we're both Asian).

It was meant to hurt and I dunno why she would say something like that. But basically I understood it as her being a massive loser and being triggered by us Asian guys actually being above her level. So to speak.

Most likely he applied to a bunch of top universities and the competition there is severe, his stats are not outstanding compared to the rest of candidates and at this point it's just a matter of luck. And probably racism.

Eh this isnt really that notable. Most Asian/white applicats to colleges like MIT or CMU or UCLA have perfect unweighted GPAs and 1550+ SATs. 3.97 and 1590 doesnt really distinguish him all that much as its the extracurriculars that separate students from eachother. Ffs I know an IOI medalist who got rejected from MIT. If I were to guess this dudes parents or relatives work at google because normally they dont even consider swes if they dont have bachelors from top unis at minimum.

I mean, you can get a perfect GPA through cheating and you can score perfect on the SAT by taking practice ones. Colleges look at more than just grades. That said it's partially because he's Asian and they already have a lot of those that qualify. They want more black and brown people.
