As the title says have any of you had the experience while in a separation and working towards a divorce that your ex tries to get more from you emotionally or through your assistance. I am trying to be civil in all of this, but also keeping her at arms length. Early on she asked me to cosign on an apartment with her (which I didn't do), later she asked if she can rent to own our home from me instead of us selling (thats a no from me), tonight she asked to borrow my car to move a our deep freezer (I told her she can take it, but not my car) to her new apartments. Also on this visit she tried to hug me. This woman asked for a separation set a date to talk about where we are at, and in the meantime slept around. I have mentally put her in a place where I see her as gross.

Yet she keeps asking for these favors that to me seem like a step to far. Ask to borrow the other guy's car. I don't expect her to help me. Plus my car is full of moving boxes and its 6 at night and raining. I am not cleaning out my car for her to borrow my car to take shared property to her new place she had the audacity to try and get me to help cosign on.

She followed up my denial of that request with, "well thank you, wait I have nothing to thank you for." I am at peace when she isn't here and when she shows up its like she expects us to be friends. She makes compliments like how nice I look and how I seem to be doing well. Yeah I know. I put effort into myself that used to go into keeping her happy.

I am just mentally trying to figure out if she is trying to see what she can get from me on one end and then regretting the separation on the other side? I know she had a mental breakdown a couple weeks back saying she had high blood pressure and was told she wasn't leaving the hospital till she set up weekly therapy appointments and got a higher dosage prescription for anxiety meds.
