That was a great read. I’m left with a thought I’ve been having that both the red and black pill are becoming a bit redundant and seem to act as a progression of thought into a yet unarticulated pill that seems to be emerging.

It seems that neither pill can help get us to a truly desirable outcome. Nor were the ways of the past with for lack of a better description “patriarchal control mechanisms”.

The root of the problem seems to be some sort of mind virus of the human condition, which I think is just more prevalent in women. Some sort of irrationality or inability to consider consequence of action, a lack of premonition or foresight.

All to say the pendulum of sexual power seems to have swung too far in one direction, there isn’t any balance anymore.

I truly believe the hyper intelligent men are going to attempt to solve this through technology, maybe sex robots. But ultimately my opinion is that will make the future even more dystopic.

Something’s got to give at some point though.

Being capable and able doesn't make you a nerd, it makes you capable and able, goddamnit
You wear glasses due to biological failures re: vision just shut the fuck up about the goddamn glasses already
Women will fuck you if they are attracted to you, feel safe and secure in their position and relationship, and can trust on some deeper biological level that you will provide good offspring and protect them while they're fucking snoring at 2am.

But sure make up more words and throw those around, I guess.

Interesting read. I would add that the original title of "Whatever" is "Extension du domaine de la lutte" (extension of the domain of struggle) which explicitly states that social class struggle has now (in the 90s) moved from the economic realm into the sexual realms.

This is obviously drawing inspiration from the work of marxist thinkers like Michel Clouscard (Le capitalisme de la seduction) or Christopher Lasch.

It's interesting to see that this was all well seen by a handful of thinkers and writers before society made it apparent in the 1990s, and it all became explicit in the 2000s/2010s with the red pill movement and it is now considered common knowledge in the 2020s...

Props to those who foresaw such societal change decades before most people became aware of it. I'd say the difference between Gen X and Gen Z for example is that Gen Z grew up massively aware of TRP thanks to Youtube and such, and the societal norms of gender relations are now massively discredited; while for Gen X, basically the chasm between societal norms in gender relations and the actual relations was enormous, except for the few people familiar with Clouscard or Lasch. Houellebecq suddenly explained that clearly in his novels, hence his massive success as a writer then: he painted how the world was and still is, instead of pretending that how the western world portrays itself is indeed how it is. TRP OG.
