I posted a long one. But in short. Even though I am relieved - partly - that the marriage is over (2 years, no kids). It still hurts a lot. Process still in Motion. Me 38, she 35. Dated 5 years married 2.

Some days it’s better than others. In general we have lived apart for the last year - so it doesn’t feel like something totally different.

Certain days it’s ok. I see cute girls all over and I’m like - hmmmmmm.

Other days I’m like - I don’t think I ever want a committed long term again. Never mind marriage.

And, every time I hear from her (using my cards, or removing me from WhatsApp groups- it’s hurts a lot). When driving past memories of ours - like where we got married - or a town we spent a lot of time - makes my head rumble non stop. (Did not drive there on purpose it was enroute and I did not want to avoid aspects as I felt I had to deal with it).

Certain days I relieved about this all. But mostly I’m just struggling. I can’t say I miss her - as we been fighting since 6 months pre marriage and I can only think of a handful of nice things since then. But we have got so many cool memories - and I did love having her in my life. And I think the biggest hurt comes in that she didn’t want to work on the relationship and decided to walk away and not fight for the vows.
