These days it s hard to find a movie in which the man is allowed to be strong. Amazon Prime s latest movie for example is 'Role Play' a film about a wife and mother who is a secret hitwoman. When her husband finds out, he s dragged along on the adventure, and of course, watches like an obedient Simp, as she despatches the bad guys left right and centre.

OK enough of this neutering crap. Let s not rely on the popular releases from film and TV. We need to actively seek out movies with strong male role models we can emulate, and not just be brainwashed by the usual narrative.

We need strong male characters in our films. Gary Stu types if necessary. To quote a female blogger, some examples include: 'Ethan Hunt, Jack Ryan, Jack Bauer, James Bond, and McGyver'. And some films to watch include:

  • Mission Impossible (the Tom Cruise ones)
  • Kingsman The Secret Service
  • Die Hard
  • Indianna Jones (films 1-3 ONLY)
  • Avatar
  • Spiderman No Way Home
  • Mr Right
  • John Wick (all of them!)
  • Marvels Avengers (until Endgame)
  • Rambo
  • Rocky
  • Dirty Harry
  • The Shield
  • Heat

To name but a few.

All these feature strong male role models (I love the dynamic between Colin Firth and Taaron Eggerton in Kingsman - its awesome!) Feel free to add some examples you know. We can make a collection to inspire the next generation of young men. ✨️
