Imagine a white person saying something racist about black people, then following it up with "I hate all races equally, its not racism". But they never seem to actually say anything bad about their own group, about white people, do they? At least not with as much frequency and vitriol as they do with black people. They'll only say something bad about white people if coaxed, or to self-consciously follow up something they just said that they know is racist. I bet we all known or have seen someone like this.

Now imagine the same thing, but replace the white person with any kind of person and "black" with male. People do the exact same thing with gender politics because they know what you're going for when you ask them to defend similar statements about women. I have literally had conversations that go like this:

  • "Men suck. Most of them are abusers and misogynists."
  • "How do you feel about people like Andrew Tate and Roosh V, who have negative ideology about most women? Who believe most women are shitty people that deserve to be treated badly?"
  • "Haha lol everyone sucks from both genders man, just relax..."

The best you can do is call them out for their hate. Even if they claim misanthropy, hating men is still misandry and hating women is still misogyny. So I say, force them to defend misogyny to back up their claims of misanthropy, then report them for hating women. Maybe moderators and admins will start to take THAT seriously, at the very least.
