What is up with the E Jean Carroll case?

Here are some facts:

-The law was specifically changed to allow 1 more year to bring these types of cases to court.

-She alleged she was raped in public over 30 years ago but provided no real evidence.

-Her story is remarkably similar to a plot line to a show she has twitted about binge watching (Law & Order: SVU).

-The dress she claimed to be wearing when it happened turned out to be designed after the alleged attack occurred.

-Admitted on the stand to destroying evidence (deleting emails. When this was brought up, the judge told the jury to disregard it).

-Her lawyers are funded by Reid Hoffman (a major Nikki Haley donor).

-Her "reputation expert" admitted to having no experience in reputation repair during cross examination. She was also discovered to be a major democrat donor.

-Trump was not allowed to present evidence (her tweets were she called rape sexy and other unhinged sexual shit) in his defense.

This court case was a fucking sham.

It's pretty one-sided. It was held in a very blue area, he wasn't allowed to defend himself, and she was an absolute nutcase if you look her up. But since Orange Man is literally satan and hitler times a thousand, he never stood a chance.

I don't follow your logic, but there are several problems with the situation, the first of which being that it was entirely her word against his, and the second being that he wasn't allowed to defend himself.

This is all part of the larger problem of the "Rules-based order" being used as a political weapon, on all levels.

If you try to make sense over Trump's persecution you will go insane. By the way, this is the Democrats trying to give Trump the nomination. They know persecuting him will give him the sympathy vote, and it's working. And they think, probably correctly, that Trump is the only guy Biden can beat. They openly say they want Biden to face Trump.

I’m not sure that this is the hill you want to die on.

IIRC, there were two civil cases. One was for sexual assault and the other for defamation.

Trump lost the first one and started defaming her. In the defamation case, you couldn’t argue the validity of the first trial. That’s what got his lawyer into so much trouble with the judge.

The main issue here is that Trump is tanking a lot of his cases by being Trump and talking. Talking is often bad in a trial. Be quiet and do what your lawyers tell you to do.

As for the validity of the first case. It’s a civil trial so preponderance of evidence and not beyond reasonable doubt. If she told people immediately after, this strengthens her case.

Carroll told multiple people about the assault at the time it occurred in 1995. They testified to this fact. Trump said he never met her but there are pictures of the two of them socializing together. Then he defamed her, saying she was crazy, and tried to get the government to defend him as if this had occurred as one of his official duties. The stupid motherfucker could have said nothing and there would have been no lawsuit.

Then after losing the civil suit he immediately defamed her again. WTF this guy can't help himself. Then in 2022 she sued for sexual battery and defamation again and won based on the original testimony and Trump's own words.

He's a piece of shit and a dumb one at that. That's been proven time and again over the last four decades.
