Here’s some background I’m a 20 year old girl and I have a boyfriend who is also 20 that I’ve been with for 2 years. Truthfully, I grew up with a mom who told me I didn’t need a man and a dad who kind of taught me the same thing. Of course, my father told me to respect men which I do but being taught to be like overly independent has kind of messed with me a bit as I’ve gotten older. Recently my boyfriend has been saying that I can be a little bit more masculine than he’d like me to be. He also pointed out some traits in women that he admires and they all seemed more feminine and submissive than the ones I currently possess. I do believe that I want to be a stay at home mom and we just moved in together so we kind of already adhere to traditional gender roles. However, I can be quite argumentative and I like to take charge more than I’d like to admit. What are some ways that I can be more feminine/submissive in my relationship?
