The sad part is that this myth is purposefully pushed by every facet of society. It’s a complete lie.

In the strong men make good times to the weak men make bad times quote, its the men’s pursuit of pleasing women and being complacent in allowing themselves to be ruled over and controlled by women that results in the deterioration of society.

Most feminist will lecture you about how men are historically oppressive and are even today because of history, but are never nearly critical of the discriminatory ills of how women treated black men like me throughout history, rape, murder, false accuston, etc, never comment towards how racist and discrimatory their own movement started off as, only vouching for white women specifically while demonizing other races by victiming themselves, which today even their movement has the same discriminatory language and tone when speaking about men in general while victiming themselves, etc.

feminism was a reaction to conservatism during the industrial revolution... if somebody oppresses women it is nature because they get pregnant and dependant/vulnerable... feminists complain about the competetive environment of competence hierarchies and the nuclear family...

if we use feminist logic men would be oppressed as they need more food to survive and are slaves to testosterone...

Many feminist spaces, or at least society as a whole just ignore the subjective experiences women seem to enact in western spaces. Women arent held to a similar standard as males for accountability. Infidelity, emotional manipulation, and gaslighting seem to be par the course in intimate entaglements involving those deeply inured in the social culture of the west. But this is ignored for some reason, as lies and true motives are revealed behind closed doors. But it doesnt seem many men are in on this fact.

Some families are sort of matriarchies. This doesn't contradict discrimination of women, like banning girla from schools.

OP is making a typical mistake - trying to pretend discrimination of one gender is a myth using examples of other gender having issues. Yes, feminists do it to of course - downplaying discrimination of men by examples of sexism against women.

While feminists love to point out obscure laws that technically allowed men to abuse women in marriage, laws that are on the books don't dictate human behavior. I have friends in the middle East, Asia and Africa right now who are completely dominated by their wives, even though the laws and society imply that they are "supposed" to have the "power".

And plently of domestic abuse goes on in the west. You're right laws don't fully dictate human behavior but they do give a reasonable indication of what societies think is ok and for most of history societies seem to have been pretty ok with domestic violence.

History is way more complex and nuanced than delusional feminists understand. And regular men didn't have rights either 500 years ago.

Depends were you were. 500 years ago a regular englishman would have had rights. Not to have a say over how the country was run (unless they lived in a potwalloper borough) but a limited set of legal rights none the less.

The only people who had rights were the nobility.

Depends a lot on the country. However the clergy had extensive rights and even the pesentry had limited rights. Only full on slaves had no rights.

And the nobility consisted of both males and females

500 years ago England had exactly two female nobles both of whom ended up being executed. So outside some exceptional cases women were excluded from the noblity (thats why you see an obsession with having male children).

And even in societies were men were in charge on the surface, women were often pulling the strings behind the scenes -- just as in many households.

While women presumably tried to make the best of things when all positions of power are held by men (including behind the scenes roles) string pulling is always going to be limited.

The men who complain about men oppressing their wives are the same beta males who get trashed by their wives, but they'll never realize that they are treated like shit because they are used to being mistreated which is what lead them to have a self-loathing mentality in the first place.
