OP was actually very civil in his responses - https://twitter.com/PipeMajesty/status/1760413894177403206, and has basic human compassion. Sympathising with the tragic suicide of this woman, saying that some of the comments the “manosphere” (the alt-right Tate demographic) have made have been horrific (which I can well imagine), whilst still being careful not to tar men as a collective with the same brush.

But of course the radfem misandrists have jumped on board it. And attacking his viewpoint.

The main difference is that generally speaking those who hate on the collective female population are quite rightly called out for it by progressive folks… those who hate on the collective male population are cheered on for it- that’s not progressive. At all.

The idea of “one of the good men” is inherently misandrist and I’m immediately clocking anyone who uses it, what an easy tell.

Their statements aren’t even self-consistent: If they’re saying “men are generally very garbage, and most of them are like this always,” it doesn’t make sense to follow up with “telling other men to hold men accountable.” If all men were like this, they’d have no reason to think any of their behavior was wrong or want other men to change their behavior. It’s quite silly and ill-thought-out.

Depending on the nature of those jokes I would say they weren't even as bad as they said they were, ive seen some dark jokes made on this subject, but thats all that is, dark jokes, that doesn't make them bad people But then again they could've made some actual insensitive jokes, I doubt it tho
