Sometimes girls are like that to try to test your reaction. If you don't react strongly and she gets upset about your response that may be a sign that she is a manipulator. If she doesn't get upset then she's just in confident mode and she's comfortable.

It's natural that girls are testing your frame to extract more strong emotions. Set a border, challenge her, tease her back little rougher, ignore her, leave her with her cockiness, make her laugh instead, be playfully aggressive. Maybe she needs to get dominated, she wants you to punish her as a bad girl or other emotional play. Just don't let her get on your head, it is not necessarily a red flag.

Girls that act cocky tend to have high self-esteem, pushing her to her limits by bringing her down is a way to tease her or create an emotional spike with that women.
