You are wise to be cautious hitting on women at work. It is very easy for signals to get misconstrued, especially with us men who rarely get flirted with in public. We see a smiling face and get some good service and we are in love. Be very careful not to make her feel threatened, even slightly.

But if you are feeling a little ballsy...

Invite her to a group setting of some sort. If she can bring her own people with, even better. This will give you a non threatening chance to get to know her and maybe get that number or date arrangement. A rave, a wine tasting, a book club, anything. If you know you have some common interests, try that route.

Oh. I had a similar experience but in a fruit shop I frequent. I asked her out and we went on a date. It went well and ended up with a kiss. Never gotten around to the second date. Looking back, should have chosen to ignore. They had the best fruits and at amazing prices. The next fruit shop was 30min away. My life became fruitless. Anyway, make friends with her. Don’t mess up the relationship you have. If I were you, I would still talk to her in a flirty way. And I wouldn’t make a move but I’ll down if she makes the move first

This sounds déjà vu to me. I experienced something very similar with a bartender but It’s time for a reality check. She’s nice because she has to be nice. For one, it’s in her job description and #2 if she thinks you like her, you are more likely to tip more and you are more likely to seek her out whenever you return to that bar and sit in her section but make no mistake, she’s not into you. A sexy bartender or server knows how to stroke a guy’s ego.

If she's not busy busy, then just ask. The critical thing is to already be ok with a "No," and a "alright friends is cool too" response.

What bar is that? Are there no other girls to talk to? It is only the bartender? You are going there frequently but if something doesn't work as you are expecting I'm curious if you will have "balls" to go to the same bar when the same bartender is there.
