A girl who is self assured and dignified will accept the compliment and move forward with the conversation…if you told her she was beautiful then many many other men have as well think about it…she’s heard that all before but always wants to hear it…that’s not a confident girl at all…not saying she’s a bad person but it would be something to keep an eye on

Too much complimenting is needy. Your job is not to feed her ego, remember that. Your job is to create sexual tension. And simply saying that she is pretty over and over, doesn’t do that. That’s something her brother or her dad or mum could say.
What you need to do is to stop complimenting her and instead tell her how she makes you feel in a sexual way.
How much she turns you on, what sexual effect she has on you in order to show her that you are sexually desiring her, that you are thinking of her in a sexual way.
So, rather than saying “you are beautiful”, you should say in person: “if you keep smiling at me like that, i’m going to kiss you_” or “_That dress of yours is distracting me so much right now, i’m trying to concentrate but my eyes keep going to your legs, and i’m liking what i see 😏”
Basically express how she makes you feel sexually speaking, rather than just feeding her ego with compliments.

And there is a way you have to do all this else it's a scam too. The timing the vibe, location you know.

She's trying to act humble and is probably uncomfortable with the pedestal you gave her. Depending on the situation it's ok to give a women such a compliment but you also would need to move the conversation along so she doesn't get uncomfortable
So the second part of your post, is too much smothering. You called her beautiful once, she got shy, now you're doing it again and just crushing her. At that point you'd want to inject some humor to ease the tension, not double down on your admiration

sorry as there was no context. I earlier told her that she was cute and she liked the compliment. Then a few hours later on text she said said "can't believe u said i was cute i come in gross at work", then told her "You are always cute", which led to "i wishhh". The post was more of an abstraction. I think she just wants reassurance or for me to reinforce that she is cute, and I have no idea how to do that.

Still, it's too much. You already called her cute before. A little push pull would be good she says "I come in gross to work" and you can say "yeah you do but I like that low maintenance look" so you still compliment her and playfully agreed she's "gross"

Thanks, helpful for other scenarios but the current one it's too late for that. But wouldn't agreeing that she looks gross in a certain scenario like at work whether playfully or not affect her self confidence and blame me for that, some girls probably expect the "yes you are cute" then prob hit you with "aww" lol
Attraction is not really about directly doing stuff it's the little nuances that one has to get right. Women need a bit of light negetives it's not all the "fellgood" vibe that does the stuff.
Just forget that and bring another topic to the table.

Don't bother with low self esteem women.

That's cruel. Everyone has insecurities, you too.

She apparently believes that she is not pretty enough to attract whoever she wants.
It's better to be more specific about compliments and just say them by surprise in proper situation. "You are beautiful" doesn't mean much without context.
You can respond with "I guess that's ok to be humble", and change the topic.

After the I wish should probably be an agreed and amplify. Something like “you’re right, you need to lose a few pounds” or “you need to smile more” or even just “that haircut does not suit you”

She’s fishing for more compliments. Do what you wanna do with her and drop her

You guys owe me a beer for this.
"I can only give you your flowers, it's your choice if you going to water them or put them in the bin".
It wouldn’t be wise to correct her even though you may want to. What she’s really translating is that it’s VERY hard for her to take that type of compliment not because she isn’t appreciative of it, but because she may not believe it and a part of her feels like she’s lying if she accepts it. If she says “I wish,” I would say, “Good thing you’re not the only one who dictates your beauty.” I know it sounds a little harsh but it makes her think and it’s a sentence that demands respect for you as her date. It shows that you are also entitled to an opinion without it being thrown back in your face and you rebuttal kindly but respectfully.
