You don’t understand girls if you think apologising over nothing means she gives you a second chance.

Apologising is done, not because you expect to get another opportunity, but because you truly regret doing something which was objectively immoral.

Have you even done anything that is considered immoral here? Not really.

So why would you apologise then? Because you hope it would get her to give you another chance to attract her, but that isn’t how dating and attraction works, i’m afraid.

Another chance could be given if you cheated on her for example and she show that you truly regretted it, but if you are looking for another chance for doing nothing wrong that doesn’t make any sense.

“Not bringing any effort back in” isn’t doing something morally wrong. You had nothing with her, you were just talking, so it’s not even about giving chances or fixing a mistake, because there wasn’t any.

If she tells you she wants to just be friends that just means she isn’t interested in you. There is nothing to fix, or compensate. She just doesn’t like you like that mate.

You need to accept that not everyone you like is gonna like you back. You can’t be the type of every girl that you find attractive.

Second chances are given if the girl loves you and has something with you. This girl didn’t have anything with you and never started to love you in the first place.

So, no you should not apologise, because you did nothing wrong and apologising when you did nothing wrong is lame, makes you come across like a desperate loser.

I'm guessing OP is very young. Just talking to a girl for 1 month is unacceptable. You must escalate things. Ask her out ASAP. Attraction happens in person, not through texting. There are already 10 guys in her DM, you my friend, need to stand out. Women can't get enough of men who take lead & are confident. The only way to get out of the friendzone is, tell her what your true intentions are & you aren't looking for anything platonic with her & she should call you if she changes her mind. A little late here but best not to text her. She indicated she's not interested and that's all you need to know. You're not entitled to a why or need to know what happened in the trip, or if there's something you could've done differently (worst thing to ask) so best to move on.
