Spend the next year learning how to get over your shyness, your fear of rejection, developing your confidence etc. Read books and articles about getting over shyness and analysis paralysis. Read about getting rid of your ego as well. Girls and dating only reflect those things which you lack in yourself but have been trying to evade dealing with it and solving it.

You need to begin researching about those things from professional sources, not from amateur writers on reddit.

You also need to get out of your comfort zone and be willing to face uncomfortable situations, and learning to not take them so seriously.

The vast majority of guys don't approach women on the street, so you don't have to do that if you don't want to. But maybe if you are in line somewhere and the girl looks at you, you can strike up a conversation. If you are introverted and shy try getting yourself a social life and get more comfortable with talking to people.

It's ok to be an introverted type but keep in mind introversion and extroversion are only theories and do not biologically or scientifically define anyone.

I had to approach attraction as a skill to learn because I was also quiet and shy. I need to break it down, and try things like learning a new sport. I've read plenty of books on the subject and watch videos everyday about relationships and other things. But the most important thing is I do talk to women in public. You can sit in your room all day learning and learning but it's all meaningless if you never find yourself in the company of a woman one way or another

Also, again, it's ok to be quiet or whatever. But you have to learn how to be charismatic behind the brooding exterior because real life isn't an anime and you can be dark and sad and expect to have women like you

I'm shy and introverted. I never read books on pick up. Only watch videos from social animal for inspiration. Social skills and charisma, and smiling are super important. I just go to public places with tons of people and approach there. Goodluck
