MY LAST 2 WEEKS AS A DATING COACH - DAY 1 OF 14
As I said yesterday I’ve just turned 40 and you know what? In the lead up to midnight I was terrified.
I followed my usual pattern of using entertainment to distract myself and had my head buried in YouTube videos for an hour until I put my iPad down and asked what was going on.
Was I nervous about the extra lines of my face? Yep.
The slow but definite decline in my body’s energy levels? Yes sir.
The growing infestation of grey hairs that’s spreading through my beard. Of course.
But that wasn’t the half of it.
The main thing that was bothering me was that I’m not where I want to be at 40.
I spent years messing around. Years I regret.
Years putting off working on myself.
Years spent getting into relationships with women who weren’t right for me.
Years not pursuing my ultimate dream of being a writer.
The net effect of all that procrastination was supreme anxiety at not being everything I deep down know I could be.
Sure I’ve made tons of progress, personally and professionally, but the time I spent messing around has held me back and nothing can change it.
The only thing I can do is make sure that procrastination’s in the past and keep pushing forward.
But guess what?
You’ll blink and be 40 too.
And when that happens what regrets will you have?
What are you putting off right now that you deep down know is a mistake?
Time slows for no man and trust me, you’ll blink and be 40 too.
Most of my followers aren’t quite where they want to be in their dating lives and if that’s true for you, make some changes before it’s too late.
