It's not only okay, it's sensible. Good on you for standing up for your dignity and protecting your peace of mind.
Being friends with someone who you have unrequited feelings for is just a painful reminder everyday of how you weren't 'enough' for the object of your affection - especially if she starts seeing other guys and just keeps you around for attention.
You don't need friendship as a consolation prize because frankly, there are women out there who will recognize your worth and definitely return your feelings, love, attraction and enthusiasm in matching intensity.
It might hurt to lose a friend, but I can guarantee you that you will come back stronger, happier and more confident. So glad you chose to honour yourself!

Yes. Don’t be friends with a woman you want sexually after she rejected you.

It’s actually more truthful if you end the friendship, if it’s done in a calm, respectful manner.
It’s deceptive to pretend to be someone’s friend, when it’s really not what you want. It almost always ends badly because jealousy comes into play.
Do it for yourself though, and not to hurt her back. If you’re trying just to reject her back, that’s weak Nice Guy behavior.
Just simply tell her you don’t think it’s a good idea to be friends while you still have feelings. It would dishonest to pretend otherwise. Wish her the best and move on.
Like you said if, the feelings truly fade and you just want to be friends, no reason not to leave that door open. But your feelings have to truly be gone, otherwise, you’re kind of hanging onto false hope

They are just trying not to hurt your feelings. Tell them you want to move on and wish them a safe life and find people that want to be your friend (or more!)

Women do this all the time! My current gf says that about a bunch of dudes but she despises them.
They either want their validation or don’t want to hurt their feelings. Its totally natural and its fine, but really they don’t want to touch you but they want you to want to be with her. It makes them feel desirable or prevents assholes from getting angry.
Just be nice and say good bye.

Ok, just as an experiment, ask her to go out and help you find some new women to date. Ask her to help you choose some better clothes and new hair style and cologne. See what she does.

Yeah, for me it hurt like hell but it was the best thing for my mental health. Also my mind can't reconcile the fact that i had hotter girls and this one with which i had feelings didn't want me, but hey, everyone can have preferences.

Yes it’s fine

Of course. Just don't be mean or cruel about it. Make sure she knows it isn't her, it's your needs. Otherwise, super kosher and totally respectable.
The only way it wouldn't be totally cut and dry is if you guys have been friends for like ages and ages. And even then it is still allowed. It's just a bit more shitty to throw something so aged away over fleeting feelings.
