As should be obvious from my username, I'm an extremely humble person, so let me be honest with you—this is going to be the best post on this sub, period. At least until I make something even better. With this fact out of the way, let's start!

Just be yourself—isn't this the most cliché advice anyone could give to someone struggling with women? What if I told you that this advice can as well be the only one you actually need? If you read to the end, you'll know why this isn't so far from the truth. As long as you understand the real meaning behind "being yourself". Prepare, though, for we'll be getting deep into the intricacies of the human mind. Your mind.

What an average guy wants? A girlfriend, obviously. How does he get one? By befriending a girl (well duh) in his social circle, being nice to her and, hopefully, escalating things until they have sex. Often, though, he ends up being in a friendzone. Okay, what about an average beginner in seduction? What he wants? Sex, of course. How does he get it? By learning how to meet women from other guys, following their advice and, hopefully, actually approaching girls. Or perhaps, instead of the last step, he's using online dating and is lucky enough to be above average in looks and/or took his time to figure out how to make attractive photos. Okay, so far so good, but why am I telling you all of this? Because, on a fundamental level, all of those guys do the same thing, and they all suck. They all have a fundamental flaw that turns off women, create things like anxiety and makes everything so much harder. They're all needy. How do I know? Because I was just like them.

If you've been long enough on this sub and/or have read Mark Manson's Models, you already know that neediness is bad, yada yada. How to stop being needy, people ask? The answers they get vary, some tell them to become a real high value man (okay, so you just need to become Elon Musk, problem solved!), others tell them to achieve the abundance mentality by having a lot of women (to get a lot of women, you just need to, you know, already have a lot of women, isn't this simple enough?), and some more cultured fellows even go as far as, shockingly, offer them to treat women as human beings (what, aren't all female humans are aliens?!). There's one thing each of the advices has in common—sounds good, doesn't work. BUT WHAT WORKS THEN, YOU DAMN SMARTASS??!! Don't worry, I'll get there in a minute.

Let's start from what "neediness" is. It's actually not exclusive to impersonal relationships, you know? Let's say you have a Goal A, and as you move to achieve it you have Subgoals A-Z, and in the process of trying to achieve this goal you use Tools A-Z. Each time you fail to achieve a subgoal, you either feel frustrated at yourself or at the tools that failed you, and if you fail to achieve the main goal that's going to make you feel very, very bad. And if you know that your goal is hard to achieve to begin with, and you didn't even test your tools before, things become even worse, and you struggle with an extreme anxiety even before taking your first step towards the goal. Sounds familiar? Well, of course it does, as it describes most goal-oriented activities.

But there's more to that—you can choose the tools you use while advancing towards your goal. You can choose what is more important to you—getting to your goal at any cost, or enjoying the journey and achieving the goal ON YOUR OWN TERMS. In other words, you can be either focused on the results/prize, or focused on the process/journey. Can you guess which path you should choose for interpersonal relationships?

And before you ask, yes, the described process is exactly what happens with most guys when they try to get a girl and pretty much always they are Result-Oriented. Their goal is either sex or a relationship, their sub-goal is getting positive reactions (which should somehow prove that they are getting closer to their goal), and their tools are either being nice (or following any other traditional advice like giving gifts), or seduction tips. Funnily enough, some can even use the advice of "being not-needy" as their tool as well. . . While, of course, staying needy because the neediness comes from their mentality.

So, where's the problem with what most guys do? It's simple, really. Answer to yourself—if you knew for a fact that a very hot girl is going to have sex with you, guaranteed, if you just begged her on your knees, would you do it? I hope not. . . But, in a metaphorical sense, this is exactly what most of us do. We do whatever we think a girl will like. And if she doesn't like it, we go to forums and ask for advice. "What should I say to her?", "Does she like me?", "She said X, what does it mean???!!"—those questions should never be asked by a man with standards. People ask for more tools to manipulate women into giving them sex, and guess what? This is as bad as it sounds.

There's another little thing to mention—some guys in the seduction community have actually figured out that positive reactions is a "meh" sub-goal. So they set other subgoals like passing shit tests, holding their frame, etc. Actually, this is a step forward, a big one. If you reached this level already—congrats. But, in the end, this still doesn't deal with the fundamental problem. . . the fact that you're one manipulative SOB and more often than not people will notice. Yes, they will.

If you've read so far, then I hope that you already started to realize what my actual point is. And if you don't, well. . . Let me share with you one incredible tip, a magic pill to all your problems with women, are you ready? Just be yourself.

No, I'm not making fun of you. I'm dead serious, and here's why. When you're being yourself, there's one thing that you aren't doing, and it is trying to do what you think leads to your goal or what you think women want you to do. You aren't trying to manipulate women into giving you what you want. You don't actually try to make them react positively, you don't really care, you're just expressing yourself. And you know what? That's hot AF. Because you aren't needy. Suddenly, you are confident, natural, and fun to be around. Actually, let me rephrase it—women WANT you to be yourself. So here's that, if you ever wondered the answer to the question "what women want", that's it. They want you to stop pretending, stop trying to manipulate them into liking you, stop caring about what they want or think about you. They want you to be a MAN, a man who does what HE wants, not what, in his opinion, others want from him. And, unlike self-proclaimed "super pickup guru masters", I'm going to actually tell you what to do to become a guy like this.

Ask yourself, do you want to have sex with women? Well duh, of course you do. Well, unless you're a gay or a girl, but even then, all of what I'm going to share with you still applies. So, how far are you ready to go to get sex? If you're like most guys, you're probably ready to completely fake your personality, to do things you don't want to do, doing things that girls telling you, maybe even being submissive to them. Perhaps this is just about you faking confidence, and trying to be alpha, which doesn't sound that bad. But in the end, is the girl going to sleep with you? Or with the image you created? Will she have sex with you, or with a Giga Chad who just looks like you? Do you really want to be fake? So she find out that you are nothing like that, and just cheated her? Actually, did you know that there's such a thing as "rape by deception"? If you pretend to be someone's spouse, or promise them a reward that you have no plan in giving (it's still sketchy if a girl sleeps with you for an iPhone, but not giving it to her at all can actually be considered rape in some jurisdictions). On some deeper level, you're doing almost the same thing here. I'm not trying to make you feel guilty, or scare you with cops, no. Just giving you a different perspective.

But what if, what if you actually change your goal to something else? Something way more satisfying and healthy? What if you don't want "just any sex" anymore. What if you want to have sex with a girl who's attracted to WHO YOU REALLY ARE? What if you're actually willing to REJECT sex with a hottie if she doesn't actually care about you? What if you have STANDARDS and are willing to be only with the girls who need sex with you as much as you do with them, if not more?

And here, my guy, we reached the point of divergence—the change in your values. I can't make you change your entire worldview in a heartbeat. Perhaps you're someone with such a low self-esteem that you're really ready to beg for sex on your knees, perhaps you don't believe that a girl can be with you for who you are and that you don't deserve this. Changing this is a job for a therapist, not a random dude on Seddit. I'm continuing with the assumption that you at least have some degree of self-love and believe that you deserve a happy life.

So, how to stop holding yourself back and start to express yourself naturally? Many people actually already do it, to a certain extent, with their friends and family, perhaps in special circumstances where they feel confident. If you learn how to do it with women, then you'll see how attractive it is to them. If you learn how to do it with your friends (if you didn't already), you'll find yourself having much better time with them. If you learn how to do it with your boss, you'll probably lose your job, so think before acting like that everywhere and with everyone.

The way to have a DGAF attitude is to start screening people instead of working for positive reactions. Some people will accept you and your personality, some won't. Those who accept you will see you as a really cool person, the rest will be out of your life before you know it. AND THIS IS THE GOAL. Do you want to have friends, no matter how badly they treat you, or do you want to have friends with whom you could be your true self and have fun? Do you want to have a girlfriend with whom you need to always pretend, or a girlfriend who's in love with every part of you and meets all your preferences? Those questions are supposed to be rhetorical, by the way.

Let's come back to our Goal A. Actually, it's interesting that by changing your values, you actually can play around with your Goal, Subgoals and Tools. You can still set sex as your Goal, but it's not going to be about doing anything at all to get there, rather it would be about the journey, the process. Your Subgoals can be expressing yourself, having fun, amusing yourself, showing the girl who you're and figuring out who she is. Oh yeah, did I mention already that you can actually evaluate the girl and see if she meets your standards? It's no longer about whether she likes you or not, it's now about whether she's the type of girl you want to see with yourself, remember? As for the Tools? You don't need them to make girls attracted. Not anymore. They either get attracted to who you're, or they don't. You're the same either way. Whether they're attracted or not, you did nothing wrong. It's not about you doing "the right thing". It's about them either being the girls who find you, yes, you, attractive. Or being the girls who have bad taste, because why else would they dislike such an amazing man, right? Right. . .

Now, don't get me wrong. It doesn't mean that you need to stop improving yourself. Do it. But not for the girls, do it for yourself. How many guys are, like, "if money don't get girls, then why would I even need money"? Not a lot, I think. And yet it's common to see the same type of logic applied to other areas of life like going to the gym or having a great style.

Tools. You can still have Tools to help you express yourself, but it's going to be a topic for another post, okay? You can express yourself just all right without any additional knowledge, I'm sure of it. But of course, there are some useful tips to be learned about having fun and not taking bullshit from people. Not now, though. For now, just learn how to be yourself with your friends and girls you meet. It's addictive—better than the Witcher 3, I swear. And the best thing?

When you start seeing that girls, indeed, can be attracted to who you are, something magical will happen. Suddenly, you start to believe that you're attractive. You just know that you're an attractive man. Just like hot people know that they are hot. If a girl who's 10/10 for most guys meets a guy who's not into her, who, let's say, can feel attraction only to a woman who's at least 200 pounds, would she completely lose her confidence? Would she conclude that she's unattractive and ugly? Probably not. . . You see, attraction is subjective. It can be quantified in a way, like, 9/10 people find you attractive, but there's always that tenth person who will absolutely sincerely won't be interested. But you know what? That won't matter to you anymore when you change your Goal and values. You'll see that women can love YOU, not your techniques or your gifts. They will love you, who's doing whatever he wants and expresses himself with honesty, they will love you for WHO you are, DESPITE your flaws, not for WHAT you did to win them over or for ten tricks to be Alpha. And nothing gives you a bigger boost in confidence than the knowledge that you can attract people with your personality. Nothing.

TLDR; There's none, but if you don't mind missing most of the context and my brilliant humor (and you should mind that), then you can just read the text in bold to get the gist of my post.
