Hi guys, I had been doing cold approach for a while, and I did cold approaches in Vancouver, Ottawa and now in a city in China.

From my experiences of talking to hundreds of women across different geo-locations and ethnicities, I found that women in a larger city like Vancouver and my current city, which is over 8 million people, usually are more aloof in comparison to a smaller city, like Ottawa. For example, if you use an indirect opener, such as a simple 'Hi, how's going?', to start a conversation on the street, women in big cities usually wouldn't respond friendly. However, that's quite the opposite when I did it in a smaller city, like under 1 million population.

Now, I use direct openers primarily, which is a line that states my intention upfront - "Hello, I just saw you from there, and I found your style to be attractive. I think we can scan QR code (a way to exchange contact info in China) to get to know each other". That does not work every time, however, generally speaking, more than 30% of women I opened would agree, according to my logs.

I don't know how an indirect opener, or a different opener would work. Could anyone share your experiences?
