If you want to remove focus from your looks, you should not address it with a joke. How you come across on an app will mostly depend on the style of your photos.

arrangement, motive and mostly where the picture directs the focus to. Just put yourself in the shoes of an anonymous viewer and ask yourself: What is this picture about? What does it convey?
A picture can just show a guy with a pretty face an nothing more. Or it can show a guy with a pretty face, that does something interesting, is with other people, has an interesting facial expression, is on an interesting location, etc

Just post yourself having a good time and smiling, doing a hobby or out somewhere with a cool backdrop (except holding a fish). Get a picture of yourself decently dressed where women have a general idea of your body shape also.
Personally, I just mention me doing dog walks, vague descriptions of the hobbies I do (which instigate questions), enjoy being around the family, seeing what the apps are about and seeing what happens. There's no need to publish a book and I've never had to use jokes, but that's just me.
At the end of the day and since it's tinder, if you're above average looking and can hold conversations with banter, you have a chance. I only message those who view me mostly to avoid spending more than 5 minutes browsing (and a better chance at liking what they see) and I'd leave the joke about X celebrity if she brings it up.
My biggest tip is don't expect much and don't solely rely on the apps to get dates. Use it as a supplement and get out there still.

lol, if you're just a pretty-faced lad with nothing to say then just go with that, but I think it's kind of ironic that you want us to write jokes for you and feed you some lines. Not really interested in being some Chad's dating coach, how much more of an advantage do you need?
