Introduction Of course, it would be preferable to practice flirting in real life situations, but perhaps you don‘t have as many opportunities to do so. Or perhaps even if you do, this could help accelerate building this mental muscle in the meantime when you are alone.
There are various reasons why you might struggle with flirting. Perhaps you feel inhibited to say something sexual, maybe you need to work on your tonality and delivery. This isn‘t about that. It‘s specifically about coming up with creative flirts to say.
The Idea Behind It We have habits in how we think about things and what we communicate. Someone might tend to focus on logical deductions when they are told something. Someone else might be more focused on the feelings in relationship to what is said. There are various types. But in the end it‘s about mental pathways that we are used to using and have become habitual; and it‘s difficult to break out of them long term. So the goal is to carve out new mental pathways, which with enough time and practice will become habitual, automatic and intuitive, like our already existing ones. We must establish and cultivate new ones that with ease make us come up with flirtatious, sexual and playful things to say in response to given content. This content are words, people and situations.
The Method Find a word generator, a sentence generator, or random stock photos. Then go through this list of ways to flirt
1) Compliment them 2) Tease them 3) Push-Pull 4) Make them qualify to you 5) Misinterpret to something sexual 6) Imply interest subtly 7) Implant a suggestive thought
and come up with something for each of the 7 types given a sentence, a word or a photo. Going through the list once will be considered 1 set.
You might be wondering „why work with a word when you can go with sentences which is also closer to real life?“ You should practice with random words as well, because it‘s harder. When you have a sentence, there should be a couple of keywords to come up with something flirtatious to say. You will tend to use the easiest to come up with something. Going with one word is much harder and will force you to work with anything you get. Not just the easiest in a set of possibilities, like in a sentence.
If you practice with photos, then work with observations & assumptions about the person or the environment in the photo.
You will get some very difficult or nonsensical examples, but try anyway. The harder it is, the more you are building the creativity to turn any piece of content you are given into a flirt. Don‘t work yourself up to come up with something perfect though. Coming up with anything at all is the minimum.
Go for 1 set for 3 different sentences, 3 words and 3 photos (9 sets in total) every day and see how you will come up with flirts much more easily after days or weeks of practice.
