If you're not into it then don't bother. It's one thing to play video games, it's another to adopt the lingo, watch streamers and be into that culture of constantly talking and over analyzing the game. Personally, as a guy who grew up gaming, it disgusts me when taken to that extreme. You're always better of differentiating yourself unless you can make money streaming.

I think you should definetely try and do it, if its not just terribly tedious to you. It's always worth trying new experiences and activities, maybe you will enjoy them, and even if you won't, you'll have discovered something you about yourself.
