I went out with an old flame who dumped me years ago. We had an amazing time and it ended with us hooking up back at her place. She told me she liked me. I then flew back home.

I wanted to know where this was going since i live halfway across the country. A couple of weeks later I tell her I liked her and asked how she felt. She said she doesn’t want to do distance and doesn’t want a relationship. “Let’s just be friends.” “Call me anytime you want to talk”

I know where I fucked up, and I’m crushed. I don’t think I’d care that much if I didn’t have a history with this person.

We talked for about an hour on the phone after this all went down and I could tell she was turned off. This was such a major learning experience.
