Two parts to this:

Banging hot girls is still a status symbol
Banging hot girls only if you can be BOTHERED cos you know you'll get another shot - even bigger status symbol

Men who subconsciously dont like women or are secretly feeling at their service, seek dominate them in a myriad of ways.

So if they aren't already having an issue with getting attention from women, especially women that other men ARE having trouble getting attention from - they have to set the bar higher in terms of difficulty and loathing.

Only those that truly dislike or are threatened by women seek to purposely reject them, even when they truly would rather be taking them up on the offer. It's a status act for other men, not for themselves (though they think that) or for the women involved who honestly - who mostly just legit move the fuck on to a man who does want to hang out with them. Like, immediately.

Obviously, it's also totally fine for men or women to not pander to each other if they arent interested. Thats normal and healthy.

But the context youre providing infers that this is a status seeking mechanism, and nothing to do with meeting a compatible partner.

We have to think about what our actions suggest to Women on a subconscious level. A guy who is not swayed by looks/beauty is likely a guy who has had an abundance of partners
and has many options. Thus he is likely to be perceived as high value.

Guys who get lots of girls don't chase too much. No need when women are pursuing him. This makes him appear desired and desirable. This is called pre-selection. If lots of women like you, you must be a pretty chill dude at least. This allows women to lower their social guards a bit because they don't have to wonder whether or not this dude is a weirdo or something lol. That said, there's a time to wait, and there's also a time to go for what you want. Differentiating between those situations is a big part of game.
