Usually they check your posture before they look at your eyes, so if your posture/body language is messed uped it's kinda late to fix it when you notice them looking.

My advice to you is to not focus too much in your body language during your interactions, just relax and be open. Mantain strong eye contact and gauge her interest. If you focus too much on your body language while you're talking to women then you will tense up and seem off and not be as engaged in conversation/banter.

You should focus on your posture and body language at home, work, and gym. Make it a habit to have good posture then it will naturally show in your interactions with people.

Pro tip: Practice your body posture all day every day, when you wake in the morning it is best to immediately get into “Go mode”. No tired slouching, you’re awake…act like it. If you’re not sleeping, you’re being. Whenever you remember it, you catch yourself slouching, straighten up. Pull those shoulders back, your shoulder blades should be what is pull them back, not from the shoulders themselves. This might tighten your back, that means you need a massage or some other corrective work, you’ve been standing all wrong. You should feel almost a burn or tightness in the traps, this means they’re engaged (not straining, just engaged). When you do this, it also makes physical work easier. Engaging muscles increases muscle health and prevents tears, because when they’re disengaged you’ll go to do something and certain muscles will activate and the ones you need aren’t, and get pulled while relaxed due to other muscles compensating for the lack of efficient strands taking over.

As for body language, its best not to DO body language but to BE your body language. Feel your feelings, let the body just naturally do them. If you don’t you’ll feel stiff and uncomfortable because you’re trying to lie with your body. Just go “I wanna he open to this person” in your head, your body language will reflect that. Body language reflects what we want, not the other way around. You don’t have to manipulate your body language to get what you want, that is inauthentic. A lie. Unless you’re an actor - ie, professional liar in the appropriate setting for it.

You’ll also just feel bigger. It might feel like faking, but if you’re a natural sloucher, you’re a natural at doing this area of life wrong. Fake it till you make it, and keep up the “facade” when you notice yourself slipping up. It’s not a facade, its the real posture you should adopt.

Focusing on overall confidence is more important than specific body language, often confidence naturally gives you good posture while focusing on your posture gets you in your head and reduces your confidence. In my experience at least.

Forget about body language to hook up.

If you really want to tune your gestures, observe someone else at work.

If you can't spot anyone really worth of, it means it is not so critical.
