Spend a night in a nightclub. By yourself. Without getting excessively drunk. You will have superpowers after that.

Sounds like something to try. Do I have to get involved? Not really up to dancing or approaching in one yet. Don’t know how much I would get out of just sitting inside of one with a drink though. Might still be worth a shot.

You can do whatever you want, but the rule is you have to stay until the club closes and you are kicked out and stay relatively sober. If drinking, drink a lot of water in between drinks and limit it to one drink an hour to give your body time to process the alcohol.
You have to understand it's not about getting anything out of it. You are going to be fighting your inner programming telling you "gosh everyone will think I'm such a loser for being here by myself". By the next morning you won't care what others think of you.

maybe look at youtube for help? Pickup channels like Todd V for example? Get an idea of a few openers and how to start convos. Would else help approach anxiety a little bit

Have a good friend with you, see it as just you two having fun together. You don't have to talk to anyone other than your friend. Have fun, buy some drinks, play beer pong, and if you feel like it, talk to someone who's not your friend. You will not have fun if you go there alone.

I will try this more. I have had friends take me out before, but I feel like I kind of just end up hiding behind them in a sense. Like I still don’t have it in me to talk to others and just focus on the ones who came with me So they kind of end up being my crutch.

Most people focus on their friends instead of a bunch of drunk strangers. They're just having fun with their friends, you don't have to talk to everyone at the party. Parties sounds exhausting if you believe you have to find lots of new friends at the party and bring a girl with you home. Maybe find a smaller place where you can play games like beer pong or pool so you can just play with other people instead of talking to them.
You might also just be an introvert who doesn't like parties and that's fine. Don't force yourself to go to parties if you don't like them.

This is all true also. It doesn’t have to be forced and I am introverted. But how will accepting that get me closer to having more friends and intimate relationships if I’m not trying to force myself out of my immediate friends group?

I don't recommend parties if you have anxiety and want to make friends. Try something more chill like joining a book/gaming/fishing club or a sport or something.

I’m going to disagree with this. I go out with friends all the time and it coddles you into a safe space.
For someone starting out, going solo to force discomfort upon yourself is probably way better.

Honestly I'll never understand people who go out alone to a party where they know no one. I've noticed some men doing it at a place I used to come and they were all just standing alone and akward while everyone was out dancing with their friends. Idk I just think it's the wrong place to come alone. Also in my country we can legally drink at a young age and we were all taught to never go out and drink alone for safety reasons.

The idea is that standing alone awkwardly is a motivation to take action. Talk to people, whether it be men or women. If you’re with a friend, you have no motivation to talk to randos.

Get used to talking to people you don't know, just for the sake of socializing. Once you have 0 insecurities engaging a conversation with whoever, you can start approaching attractive women

Watch a video on night clubbing by grossgore. Really helps paint a picture of what to expect.

People are typically out because they want to socialize and have a good time. These people could be drinking at home or meeting up at someone's house. They're almost inviting social interaction, just be polite and give the opportunity for conversation not to continue, in case people aren't receptive. Sometimes I'll say a little comment and either it's something someone doesn't really need to respond to or they'll be receptive and keep it going. People like to talk
