I use to be a skinny long-haired guy who only listened to depressing rock music that played on my depressive/self-hate nature. I would only listen to music that related to my pain and misanthropy same with movies and tv shows. Shit like Alice in Chains and Nirvana. The music use to make me feel less alone. But it just fed me more into a beta world and comfort. "Oh I am different and special, I am deep, philosophical, and all these women don't understand me", that sort of non-sense for years. I use to think I was better than people because of my depressive and nihilistic attitude. Use to hate the whole alpha-mentality, just thought they were jerk meat-heads and I'd rather be a weak beta listening to my depressive music thinking I was somehow better. What I have been realizing recently is that a lot of the guys that were meat-head alpha types (at least the ones I knew) listened to rap exclusively. It's like there was something in the music that communicated that message of being a red-pill. The music embodied strength and being hard. Whereas my music embodied being okay with being weak and pathetic. I don't know why rock music is so fucking beta, but it truly is. It encourages depressive, self-loathing behavior, paying for the sins of racism and sexism, whereas rap promotes self-worth, being strong, grinding hard, and getting what you want in life. Any thoughts?
