Obviously this question is missing context and tone, but I assume it is a bit of a backhander. They're acknowledging the fact that you are trying. You are sweet, but not really the 'man' they are looking for. That's how I read it. Unless it's working for you, in which case keep being 'cute'.

Cute is fine, it's positive. I used to get it all the time, wasn't a huge fan at the time but looking back I wouldn't sweat it at all. Now I'm in my 30s I get handsome.

Get over it. You need to accept yourself for who you are and work with what you got. Cute is better than ugly. I never get called hot, often get called cute, and I don't let it affect my game in any way. I'm still getting laid consistently because what matters most is your confidence. A "cute" guy who is confident will have way better game than a "hot" guy who is insecure. Girls can sense insecurity from a mile away so don't let it get to your head and just say "thanks, you too" or "no you" if a girl calls you cute.

I guess they say it behind my back. I can’t remember once being called cute, hot or handsome. Whatever they are really thinking shows up in their behavior.
