Think of all the truly impressive guys you’ve known. The ones who are successful, command attention whenever they walk in a room, the ones who are magnetic.

Did they ever refer to themselves as alphas, or give a shit if people thought of them as such?

The most ‘alpha’ behavior is not caring about other’s perceptions and being independent of their expectations. Ironically, those who claim that they are an alpha are engaging in insecure, needy behavior, trying to qualify themselves to others for approval or respect.

Always have a healthy level of skepticism from those who give advice to always be an alpha, as if they are one themselves. These are usually the biggest pretenders out there.
