Just going where I need and approaching an attractive girl if she crosses my way.

  • 1 attempted approach
  • 1 unattempt approach

Attempted approach

4 targets close to each other. One woman sitting, 2 girls talking and 1 girl standing. I use u/norwegiandoggo's advice and ignore the potentially harder 2 set. While the standing girl is closer and possibly more attractive, for some stupid reason I decide to go with the sitting woman. I open with a direct compliment. I feel like my voice is too unsure. She doesn't react enthusiastically, very neutral. She's definitely few years older than me. I interpret her body language as screaming uninterested and leave her alone.

Unattempt approach

A bit further, not sure if enough out the the first approach woman's sight, there's a potentially attractive girl walking by. The access is a bit more difficult. I still feel bad after abandoning the first approach so early. I'm a bit paranoid she may see the approach and give up on it last moment.

Lessons

  1. Reading body language
    1. While temporarily living an almost hermit's lifestyle I seem to struggle here sometimes. This causes me to make less risky decisions and leave the target if I sense any discomfort.
      1. a possible solution is being more social throughout the week, unfortunately not possible for some time
  2. Punking out
    1. No reason to let any approach go by unless I really don't have the time or the girl is walking away while I'm talking.
      1. I need to accept I will blow it
  3. Proper warm up
    1. Getting into flow takes too much time for random day to day approaches. A few minutes long verbal warm up of talking to myself before the first approach is doing the trick but talking to people would work better since my non verbal communication doesn't get a proper chance to get ready.
  4. Trying different routes
    1. 0 people to approach on my way back. Gotta change the route next time if the beginning seems empty.
